Back in the early millenium, web design was more of an art. Web sites were cavasses with flashy pages that showed character, and were mostly HTML and CSS files made with basic text editors, mixed in with appealing graphics. And I loved it.

Over the years, this type of design has faded out into something more simple and streamlined for utility, more than aesthetics. The modern World Wide Web has become a type of OS-within-an-OS (like Java, or .NET), just another way to make computer apps.

Many social media sites which have been open for at least 10 years have since been updated to be jam packed with features or streamlined. Nostalgia is one hellava drug, and luckily there are people out there who remade how they were before-- mostly with all the limitations. These links below take you to my profiles on those sites.
