Your story of multiple schools sounds similar to mine, Lou. But you have me beat (not that is a contest): for me it was nine different homes (and at least that number of schools) between elementary and graduation from high school.

I think a lot of that moving around contributed to my introversion. It was hard to keep friends or even to really learn how to be a friend. And like you I much preferred to put down roots as an adult: my wife and I have have move just three times in 34 years together. I really like being 'settled'
